Home for Sale in Morningside Park, Brookside

Morningside Park is one of my favorite subdivisions in Brookside, and there’s a new listing to tell you about here at 5906 Oak St.  This is a three+ bedroom, one and a half bath home (with a second full bath in the basement) priced at $203,000.

The current owners have really taken good care of this home.  The roof is five years old, and gutters are protected with gutter guards.  The air conditioner was replaced last year, the furnace was installed in 2004.  The chimney was rebuilt from the roof to the top in 2012, with a new liner for the furnace and hot water heater.

The kitchen has been freshly painted, including the cabinets, and there’s an eat in area by the corner windows.  The refrigerator, washer and dryer stay!  A mudroom off the kitchen offers a convenient spot for the recycle bins and snowy footwear!

All the bedrooms are on the second floor, and the master bedroom is quite large.  Every bedroom has plenty of windows for natural light.

One of my favorite features is the side screened porch. Relax on the porch swing with your favorite book, or enjoy a meal here–without bugs flying around your food. This side porch also leads to an outdoor deck.

The attached garage is in the basement, and there is space in back of the house for a second car. The location is so convenient–close to UMKC, Stowers Institute, Brookside amenities, the Trolley Track Trail, and on the bus route.
